Where can we find this thought exemplified in scripture ? I have a hard time believing this because I have never read what is being said in the scriptures. Also, how should we distinguish what is scripture ?

This was a good sermon , but it doesn't preach the gospel of sin and repentance. The night I was saved, 40 years ago, it was because I heard a young preacher teach about Jesus and Hell, convicting me of my sin and my need to repent. Up until then all I believed was karma and reincarnation. The gospel message is empty if if doesn't tell people what they are being saved from, not using terms like destruction, judgment and separation from God. Those didn't really scare me. Total darkness, isolation, weeping, gnashing of teeth, and fire.... those are the ones that got me over the line, followed by profound gratitude for Jesus and His incomprehensible, excruciating, sacrificial death, resurrection and love for me. I cried and confessed for over an hour, then spent the rest of the night praising and thanking God. People need to hear a sermon like that.

Habakkuk 3:17-19. Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.

Thank you for preaching the word of God! God wins always! I see his amazing miracles in the world today! He has our backs. I have no fear of death, because I know I will live in eternity with Him! I pray he uses me for his service. ❤️✝️🙏🇺🇸. God Bless this Country!

ehh when all I can see is bankruptcy I stand up and start doing something about it. I don't understand what draws you towards others in those situations but I was raised to fix my own problems. Makes for stronger resolve and higher goals still. You sound like you're borrowing yourself into the fantasy of someone else to ease up on yourself. Fear and love of servitude rings from it.

My God has brought me through so many trials, and HE is the ONLY ONE I TRUST. My latest is the Mesothelioma diagnosis, right after my mom died (I was her caretaker in home hospice, so I couldn't tell anyone that I was sick). Then my stepfather kicked me out, so I had the biopsies done ALONE. They didn't BELIEVE me. Long story short, I was given 6-13. I'm going on 19 months, I'm doing so well, and they don't speak to me anymore...FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY! 💔 HE UPHOLDS ME EVERY DAY! THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR LOVING ME WHEN THOSE WHO SHOULD, DON'T! ❤ AMEN 🙏 🙌 👏 ❤️

I experienced the Holy Spirit endwelling when I was about 22 and the spirit flowed through me but I was a fool and chose drugs and alcohol crunching the Spirit within. Now I am 67 and I have never gotten back that precious presence.😭

I love the honesty you two share. I respect both of you as women of Christ, so to see the openness of how you both call yourselves out on your sins, is refreshing. It helps me to realize I too fall short, but I am still a Child of Christ who wants to grow in my faith.

Jesus has been running after me my entire life. It wasn’t until I found THE ROCK, that I felt “ good enough” to get Baptized. I had it backwards!! Thank you ROCK CHURCH for making us All feel welcome!!❤️🙏

I stood on God’s Word and got hit from all sides at my former church, including by the so-called “Pastor”! The Lord had me not defend myself against the attacks and that was hard to obey. He brought to mind the armies that I could not see repeatedly. He is my defender!!

I am trying so hard to walk in the light. I am so upset about what is happening in our world. So many people are evil! I have never seen such disgrace! Faith is all I have and that is enough. Jesus is my king and I am prepared to die for him. Whatever He has planned will happen. May Glory be with the Lord!

God told him, "because you listened to your wife this is your punishment"!

This is why I love Pastor Wes, he speaks the truth on hard subjects. I was a server for 13 years. We dreaded SUNDAYS, “ the church crowd” don’t be like them!! Shine your light !! Be kind, people are watching!!

Adam wanted to eat, but didn't want to be the one who did it first, he thought if Eve eats first she is the culprit and he by default would be free to eat. But the command was given to Adam and Eve knows so little about the command because Adam had failed to teach her. Notice she says the tree that is in the middle of the garden we may not eat from, but the tree in the midst of the garden was the tree of Life and there was no prohibition on it.
